Accountability

IRON SHARPENS IRON, AND ONE MAN SHARPENS ANOTHER.
PROVERBS 27:17

We as children of God, start off a simply as a raw piece of hard steel. Our great blacksmith, our Father, is the one who will mold us into the greatness that we are capable of. The furnace heats us, breaks up down, and allows the molding to begin, when we accept that we must go through the furnace so that our true potential is brought out, and through situations, we are formed into the work of art that the blacksmith desires. Now that the blacksmith has set our shape we must then hold that shape for we are fragile, alone we are weak but together we can withstand the world’s wear. That is where accountability comes into play, we need to see where the weakness in our body is, this sometimes cannot be seen by ourselves, we need to rely on our brothers to help us toughen our weakness and then help up smooth our edges that have become rough from the wear of the world. As our brothers, who go through this wear as well, we need to be able to hold back the harsh wind, the rough waves of temptation, those who are strong in this can be our shields till we can stand with them. We not only smooth our the rough edges we sharpen them to prepare to defend ourselves, our brothers are our sharpeners, for as rough iron is ground down, you sharpen the piece of iron used for the grinding.
