About

NATIONAL FOUNDING

Kappa Upsilon Chi (KYX) a national fraternity for Christian men, was founded in 1993 on the campus of Texas Tech University in Lubbock. Four men with a vision for something greater sought to create a place where Christian ideals truly met collegiate tradition. Like most traditional collegiate fraternities we are bound by friendship, honor, and common interests. However, we are first and foremost bound by the love of Jesus Christ, God’s son, our Savior.

CHAPTER FOUNDING

In the summer of 2007, Kappa Upsilon Chi was brought to UCF under the guidance of the Lord. Active members from Delta Chapter, Theta Chapter, Kappa Chapter and alumni from Alpha Chapter, Gamma Chapter, Delta Chapter and National Board Members initiated the charter members of the Lambda Chapter. Although we as a national fraternity do not officially have any sister sororities, we as Lambda chapter partner with Theta Alpha and Sigma Phi Lambda throughout the semester for different events, socials, and community service projects. Visit the “brothers” page to see the Alpha class, also known as the founding fathers of our chapter.

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

The Creed of KYX
KYX exists for several reasons. Our greatest desire is to glorify our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We also seek to uphold and maintain Biblical Christian standards, to be an influence in the community through servant lifestyles, to pursue a positive attitude and spirit, and to help others strengthen their academic achievement, enabling them to be what the Lord calls them to be. We do this by submitting to the Lord, our God, and allowing Him to direct our lives as
Psalm 139:23-24 states, “Search me, O God, and know my heart, test me and know my thoughts. See if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.”
We seek solely to do the will of God.
